NEW MANDATE: Development of the Ax-C Innovation and Entrepreneurship Space

Montreal, February 2, 2024 - Unigesco has just won an $18.3M contract with the École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS) for the development of the Ax-C Innovation and Entrepreneurship Space. The new Ax-C center will be constructed in the Victoria Place tower, on the site of the former stock exchange floor.

Starting in 2025, the Ax-C Space will stand out as a hub of innovation, bringing together under one roof key players from the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Their mission will be to create an international caliber environment that is both inspiring and inclusive, to propel high-potential tech startups to growth. By bringing together diverse talents, the Ax-C Space will stimulate innovation, provide essential support, and facilitate the commercialization of innovative ideas, both locally and internationally.

The involvement of the entire Unigesco team in this significant project, at the heart of Montreal's dynamic Downtown, reflects a passion for excellence and entrepreneurial innovation. It is an honor to participate in the construction of this unique space, a true incubator for future successes.

Unigesco will build the Sanaaq Center

Montreal January 26, 2023- The City of Montreal Council meeting recommended the awarding of the Sanaaq Center construction project to Groupe Unigesco on January 23, 2023. This represents the final stage of approval, so construction work can begin in the next few weeks.

The entire Unigesco team is proud to collaborate with the City of Montreal for the realization of this major project which will include a performance and exhibition hall, a library and socio-community spaces.

NEW MANDATE- Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf- Repair and redevelopment work at the arena

MONTREAL, January 19, 2023- Unigesco has won the public call for tenders for the repair and redevelopment of the Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf arena by being the lowest bidder at $4,986,000. The contract war awarded on Decembre 9, 2022.

Built in 1974, the Jean-de Brébeuf arena welcomes young people every day who practice hockey, broomball and free skating. As described by the college team, the Brébeuf arena is home to 1,200 high school students and 1,700 college students who practice ice sports there during lessons, practices and intra-league games. In addition, it offers ice time to children and families in the Côte-des-Neiges district as well as to children, families and employees of the CHU Ste-Justine.

Major work will begin in April 2023 and end in fall 2023.

NEW MANDATE- Anjou transport center, redevelopment and expansion

MONTREAL, August 31, 2022- Mandated by the Société québécoise des infrastructures (SQI), manager appointed by the Ministry of Transport (MTQ), Unigesco has been awarded the project to bring it up to standard and major repairs which involves the partial reorganization of the spaces occupied by the MTQ and the rolling stock management center (CGER).

The building to be renovated has a gross area of ​​7289 square meters, to which an expansion is planned to allow the addition of three garage bays, a mechanical room and a new overhead crane. In addition, the existing office area will also be redesigned with the addition of 4 mezzanines to increase office space.

All the work will be carried out in different phases in order to allow the continuation of the operations of the teams in place and a considerable effort will be made on the schedule and the coordination with the Société québécoise des infrastructures (SQI). The work, with an estimated value of $20.2 million, will run until March 2024.
